I found WGH 1310 AM by accident last summer and was so happy to hear the great music I love. Why would anyone change it to urban music of which there are already so many stations on FM and AM that play that junk. There are country music stations and all the hip hop, rap, etc. but no 50's and 60's mu Ver más ... sic. It doesn't make any sense not to have a station that plays that great music in an area of this size. Now I just listen to 1230 am or 106.9 FM or just leave the radio off. Most people don't have HD radio or don't know what it is. I even asked someone in their 20's and he didn't know anything about it. I don't know why you switched to that horrible format. I'm sure if you had advertised WGH as a 50's, 60's rock and roll and doowop station a lot of people would have tuned in, but like I said I found it by accident. I guess it is pointless to hope it will come back to a regular radio station. No variety of music stations to pick from unless you listen to hip hop/rap or country music. That is all there is around here. How disgusting and unfair.

why did you change 1310 to something different? I was so happy when I found the great oldies station..I listen to it all day long...any change of it ever coming back??

Unbelievable...Upon starting my vehicle's engine today, I immediately heard...not what I expected to hear coming from the vehicle's radio. Not knowing what this unpleasant noise was, I pushed the preset button for the oldies music, I grew up with, being played on WGH 1310. When I did, the unpleasa Ver más ... nt sound I was hearing did not disappear. Much to my exasperation, I can only guess that the oldies format has been replaced with unpleasant noise. If correct, all I can say to this is, once again, I am reminded of the song written by Pete Seeger and sung by the Byrds…"To everything Turn turn turn There is a season Turn turn turn And a time for every purpose under Heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh a time to weep"...those familiar with this song know where it was adapted from. So, if the oldies format has truly died, I shall weep for a season. However, since "The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises" (quoted from the same place as the previously written lyrics) maybe, just maybe my season of weeping will be short. So now this great oldies station has switched to awful black gospel music. Now Virginia Beach doesn't have any oldies station at all, but another station of people caterwauling and screeching. Ridiculous. Won't be listening, hope you lose money on this stupid move.
