as knowing these coaches over the years because I have been an official for this sport at this Port Huron venue often - both coaches are DEDICATED AND ONLY WANT THE BEST OF THEIR TEAMS. Yes, Andrea Johnson, JV coach needs to scale back her verbal attacks but it is true the girls sometimes don't resp Ver más ... ond unless she does this. I am not supporting her tactics only emphasizing that her intentions, I do believe, are for the good of the team. Megan Knoebel on the other hand does not use the verbal attack method, if I may use that term, and gets the job done and gets the most out of her players - and enhances the skills of her girls through a more moderate and intense direction to the girls play on how to improve. So, I think that this GUEST OF 8/31/11, NEEDS TO BE MORE THOROUGH IN HER APPROACH TO AND COMMENTS WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS SHE/HE DOES NOT REALLY SEE THE COACHES AT PORT HURON AS MUCH AS I DO AS A VOLLEYBALL OFFICIAL. CONSTRUCTIVE AND NOT DESTRUCTIVE COMMENTS HELP THE PROGRAMS - WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES TO GET THE POINTS ACROSS ARE BETTER THAN THE COMMENT(S) MADE BY THIS PARENT IN SUCH A PUBLIC FORUM WOULD SERVE ALL BETTER.

I must disagree with the overt and ALL ENCOMPASSING statement of the "Guest" comment posted here 8/31/2011 REGARDING THE PHHS VOLLEYBALL COACHES. Of course this parent saw one instance of some verball abuse by the JV coach and yes, it is true that this JV coach does launch some overt and unmitigate Ver más ... d verbal attacks on her players - BUT -

I can't believe PHHS has the volleyball coaches they have and the school district does nothing to stop them! I'm a parent that has a daughter attending Northern. We went to watch her play at the PHHS tournament this past Saturday. The JV coach personally attacked her setter by verbally abusing her Ver más ... in front of the whole gym. It was very sad to watch. The poor girl was in tears. I said something to a PH parent sitting next to me and all she could say is I know, she treats her girls like this on and off the court. What I'd like to know is how this district that needs all the help it can get can allow this to happen? If my daughter went to PHHS I would pull her instantly. Please WPHM do not ignore this and help these girls, they desparetly need you! -Thank you!
