I'm amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that's both educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. We review the Spring Carnival and I don't hear anyone commenting on the TAB advertising which is putrid - longwinded .obtuse ,geriatric voices , no client benefit ! Stupid tagline reflecting TAB navel gazing and lack of creative skills. Rubbish that drives me to the Corporates !!! John

Great interview this morning. Aquanita Racing Directors pleading ignorance over the last 7 years is unacceptable. Remember 2012 etc, the organisation has form and lots of it. Now transferring a Nature Strip to a suspended trainer and one of Smerdons mates. They are treating the entire industry as Ver más ... fools. Never bet on the horses again Peter

Hi Chriso and Micky. I would like to hear your thoughts with Whitey (preferably between 7.30 - 8pm so I can listen in) on the AFL drug policy. Illicit drugs, plain and simple, are illegal. It's rubbish to say it's part of society. At the end of the day it is still illegal regardless. If I was to fai Ver más ... l an oral fluid drug test while driving I would lose my driver's license for 3 months and have to undertake a drug drivers course before regaining my driver's license. If a failed a second time I lose my driver's license for 6 months and from there on the penalty gets worse. So why then are footballers treated differently. Shouldn't they be held to the same account as Joe average in the street. People who work in the transport and mining industry are subject to regular drug tests and a positive test means a loss of job. You may say the AFL players Association has introduced a voluntary drug testing policy BUT AFL footballers are employed by the clubs and thus responsible to the AFL as an employer. It's quiet simple test positive to illicit drugs you are suspended for three months and have to undergo an Intensive Drug Course before you return to the field. AFL players get more education than most people in the community get and there is no reason why or how they can plead ignorance. My next question is now Thomas and Keefe, and for that matter any future footballer, have admitted to taking illicit substances why have they not been charged for possession or use drug of dependence. Again Joe average in the street would. Your thoughts please.
